Jarken Gamlin sworn in as Arunachal Pradesh's new Chief Information Commissioner

Major General Jarken Gamlin (Retd) was sworn in as the State Chief Information Commissioner (SCIC) of Arunachal Pradesh on Monday.

Papum Pare (Arunachal Pradesh) [India], September 2 (ANI): Major General Jarken Gamlin (Retd) was sworn in as the State Chief Information Commissioner (SCIC) of Arunachal Pradesh on Monday.
He took the oath at a ceremony in the Darbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Itanagar. The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lieutenant General KT Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM (Retd), administered the 'Oath of Office' to Major General Gamlin as SCIC.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu extended his best wishes to Major General Gamlin (Retd) on his appointment.
"Best wishes to Major General Jarken Gamlin Ji (AVSM, SM, VSM (Retd)) on his appointment as State Chief Information Commissioner of Arunachal Pradesh. His exemplary service and leadership will bring great value to this important role. Wishing him every success in this new chapter," the Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister's office said in a post.


Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly Tesam Pongte, Cabinet Ministers, Member of Parliament, Tapir Gao, members of the State Legislative Assembly, members of Arunachal Pradesh State Information Commission attended the Swearing-in ceremony. Senior officers of the State Government were also present at the function. (ANI)
