J-K: Property of absconding Pak-based terrorist attached at Awantipora

The Awantipora police on Friday attached one immovable property of an absconding Pakistyan-based terrorist under the order by the NIA Court.

Awantipora (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], October 20 (ANI): The Awantipora police on Friday attached one immovable property of an absconding Pakistan-based terrorist under the order by the NIA Court.
According to the press release, the police attached one immovable property (01 Kanal and 15 Marlas of orchard land) situated at Noorpora.
It belonged to terror handler Feroz Ganie. The property has been attached under section 83 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).

The order was executed on Friday by Revenue authorities along with police and village representatives, the officials said.
Ganie was involved in case FIR No. 36/2023 under sections 18, 20, 23, 25, 38 and 39 of the UA(P) Act and sections 7 and 25 of the Indian Arms Act.
Earlier, Ganie was declared a proclaimed offender by a special NIA Court, Pulwama under section 82 of CrPC after he failed to appear before the investigating agency.
Notably, the absconding terrorist is involved in promoting and reviving terrorist activities by pushing in Arms and Ammunition and activating local terror networks, the officials stated. (ANI)
