J-K: One LeT terrorist eliminated in Pulwama

Pulwama (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Oct 13 (ANI): The police and security forces on Saturday morning eliminated a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist in the Kangan area of Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

Pulwama (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Oct 13 (ANI): The police and security forces on Saturday morning eliminated a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist in the Kangan area of Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.
The forces launched a cordon and search operation based on credible inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area. During the search operation, terrorists fired on the search party leading to an encounter.
The killed terrorist has been identified as Shabir Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad and resident of Sangri, Samboora, Pampore. He was affiliated with proscribed terror outfit LeT and was involved in attacks on security establishments and many other civilian atrocities in the area.
During the operation, no collateral damage took place besides incriminating materials including arms and ammunition was recovered from the site of encounter.
Moreover, one suspect who was part of a same terror group that was engaged in encounter at Pulwama has been admitted to a hospital in Srinagar with a bullet injury. Police is ascertaining his identity and other related facts of the incident.
A case has been registered and investigation initiated in the instant matter. (ANI)
