J-K: Indian Army inaugurates transit facility for local population at Sadhna Pass

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], August 23 (ANI): The Indian Army on Wednesday inaugurated a transit facility at Sadhna Pass to mitigate the inconvenience and hardships of the local population and tourists as part of nation-building efforts.
The transit facility includes a waiting area and a refreshment corner for the transients.
Nastachun Pass or Sadhna Pass is the gateway to Tangdhar or Karnah Valley.
A number of informative boards have also been placed depicting the rich history, culture and traditions of Karnah Valley.
Co-located with a Gazebo, the viewpoint offers a panoramic view of the picturesque valley of Karnah. The tourists can also collect souvenirs and mementos which have been made available at the facility.
The security architecture at the pass which will enable hassle-free movement of people both during summers and winters has also been revamped. The efforts taken by the Indian Army would go a long way in enhancing the growth and prosperity in the region besides giving a fillip to tourism.
GOC, Chinar Corps dedicated the transit facility to the citizens on 23 August 23 and applauded all ranks of Vajr Division for their dedication and commitment towards service to the nation. (ANI)
