J-K: Four terrorists neutralised in encounter

Anantnag (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Oct 25 (ANI): Four terrorists were neutralised in an encounter by security forces in Bijbehara's Arwani area of district Anantnag on Thursday.
Jammu and Kashmir police released a statement informing that incriminating materials including arms and ammunition were recovered from the site of encounter.
The encounter broke out after police and security forces launched a cordon and search operation based on credible input about the presence of terrorists at the Khar Mohalla of Arwani in Bijbehara of district Anantnag.
As the search operation was going on, hiding terrorists fired upon the search party, which was retaliated leading to the encounter.
Security forces were able to neutralise four terrorists during the operation, the identity of who is being ascertained.
Police have registered a case in this regard and investigation has been initiated in the matter.
The state police have also requested citizens to not to venture inside the site of the encounter since such an area can prove dangerous due to stray explosive materials.
People have been requested for cooperation with the police till the area is completely sanitised and cleared of all the explosives materials if any.
Earlier in the day, two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces at Baramulla's Keeri in Jammu and Kashmir. (ANI)
