Kathua (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], September 8 (ANI): Joint Director Fisheries, Manjoor Ahmed, on Saturday kicked off the annual stocking of fish seeds of different varieties into Ranjit Sagar Dam Reservoir at Reservoir Fisheries Development Project (RFDP) Satwain.

Fish seeds of different varieties of Indian major carp and exotic carp like Rohu, Mrigal, Catla, Common Carp, and Silver Carp have been stocked.

While speaking on the occasion, the Joint Director, Central Mansoor Ahmed, said with the handholing efforts of the Department of Fisheries, the total fish production of UT has reached 26900 tonnes, which includes 1990 tonnes of trout.
