J-K: AAI approves night parking of Go First airlines at Srinagar airport

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], April 22 (ANI): The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, during an official event on Thursday announced that the Airport Authority of India (AAI) has approved the night parking for Go First airlines (formerly known as GoAir) at the Srinagar airport.

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], April 22 (ANI): The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, during an official event on Thursday announced that the Airport Authority of India (AAI) has approved the night parking for Go First airlines (formerly known as GoAir) at the Srinagar airport.
The Go First operated the first night flight from Jammu following its successful operations of the first night flight from Srinagar.
According to an official statement, the first flight for night parking was received by LG.
"This is a significant development for the union territory as the night parking permission will facilitate better flight operations from the region," it said.
"We are delighted at this development. We would like to thank the authorities for their kind consideration and will continue our commitment to the development of Jammu and Kashmir," said Kaushik Khona, Chief Executive Officer, Go First airlines.
The authorities believe that Go First has been instrumental in the development of air travel to and fro Jammu and Kashmir.
It is the only airline appointed for the cargo movement of Horticultural perishable and agricultural produce of Jammu and Kashmir Horticulture Products - the state-owned company.
Go First is the aviation foray of 285-year-old Wadia Group that comprises leading brands including a 150-year-old Bombay Burmah, 140-year-old Bombay Dyeing, 102-year-old Britannia Ltd., and 67-year-old National Peroxide Limited, and a nine-year-old Bombay Realty. (ANI)
