Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], September 16 (ANI): Reacting to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's resignation statement, Madhya Pradesh Congress Chief Jitu Patwari said on Monday that it was Kejriwal and his party's decision.
"The decision taken by Arvind Kejriwal ji is his and his party's. Everyone has their own perspectives and plans. However, there is a sense of vengeance with which Narendra Modi is operating under the guise of political acumen in the country. This is evident. In a democracy, the Constitution grants everyone the right to express their opinions," Patwari told ANI.
The Congress leader also expressed hope that his party would emerge victorious in the upcoming assembly polls in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, and Delhi.
"The Congress party is contesting the elections in Delhi, Haryana, and Kashmir with full strength and strategy. They will win the assembly elections in these states," Patwari said.
Notably, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said on Sunday that he would resign from the position of Chief Minister after two days and would not sit in the Chief Minister's chair until the people of Delhi declare him "honest."
Kejriwal further mentioned that if the public votes for him, it would serve as a certificate of his honesty. He also stated that he would request early elections, alongside the state of Maharashtra. (ANI)
