New Delhi (India) Mar 8 (ANI): Income Tax officials claimed to have seized Rs 2.56 crore from the residence of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) lawmaker Naresh Balyan.
The raids, which commenced on Friday evening, are underway for nearly six hours and expected to continue overnight.

"Around 140 cases were filed against our legislators and out of those only one has been charged. The court has every time reprimanded the police for filing fake cases against our ministers and party members. Central Bureau of Investigation has raided our ministers and Chief Minister a lot of times but they found nothing," he said.
"Recently, IT raided our Chhatarpur legislator Kartar Tawar on around 11-12 of his locations, a lot of news reports were run but nothing happened after that," Bhardwaj concluded.
In October last year, the Income Tax department raided 16 properties of Delhi Transport Minister and AAP leader Kailash Gehlot.
Among the properties raided were Gehlot's residence and companies like Brisk Infrastructure and Developers Ltd and Corporate International Financial Services Ltd, which belong to the AAP leader. (ANI)
