Israel pays tribute to victims of 26/11 Mumbai attacks

New Delhi [India], Nov 27(ANI): The Embassy of Israel in India on Monday conveyed in its heartfelt condolences to the victims of the deadly terror attack that took place in Mumbai ten years ago, on November 26, 2008.

New Delhi [India], Nov 27(ANI): The Embassy of Israel in India on Monday conveyed in its heartfelt condolences to the victims of the deadly terror attack that took place in Mumbai ten years ago, on November 26, 2008.
The Embassy of Israel in India took to its official Twitter account remarking, "Our heartfelt tributes to all those who lost their lives ten years ago in the ghastly 26/11 #MumbaiTerrorAttack #MumbaiTerrorAttack @MEAIndia @narendramodi @rashtrapatibhvn"
Expressing solidarity on the same issue, ambassador and Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Yuval Rotem also tweeted, "10 years ago #OnThisDay, extremist Islamic terrorism struck the city and people of #Mumbai and its Jewish community.
Israel stands in solidarity with #India against terrorism and in memory of its victims. May their memory be a blessing."
Mumbai on Monday saw the unveiling of Nariman Lighthouse memorial on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of 26/11 terror attacks.
Maya Kadosh, the stand in Ambassador of Israel was also present at the unveiling of the memorial. She said, "It is a sad day for India and Israel. No country wants this connection but we have it."
Kadosh voiced that Nariman Lighthouse memorial shows the connection between India, Israel and the victims of the 9/11 attacks. She further added that the connection only "makes our bond stronger."
The stand in ambassador of Israel even took to Twitter saying, "Remembering #BabyMoshe side by side the other victims of #MumbaiTerrorAttack and hearing the many #StoriesOfStrength together with @AmbRonMalka ,@Yaakov_FINKLSTN and @NimrodKalmar . Thank you @IndianExpress for this meaningful night."
Mumbai came to a standstill on this very day a decade ago when 10 Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists who came to Mumbai via sea route from Pakistan carried out a series of coordinated shooting and bombing attacks across the city. (ANI)
