Instead of Nyay Yatra, they should conduct 'kshama yatra': Chhattisgarh CM takes jibe at Congress

As the Congress' Nyay Yatra in Chhattisgarh culminated in Raipur today by party leader Sachin Pilot, reacting to it, CM Sai said that instead of it, they should conduct a 'kshama yatra', as they couldn't even fulfill one promise of all the promises they had made in 2018 Assembly elections.

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], October 2 (ANI): As the Congress' Nyay Yatra in Chhattisgarh led by party leader Sachin Pilot culminated in Raipur, CM Sai said that instead of Nyay Yatra, they should conduct a 'kshama yatra', as they couldn't even fulfill one promise of all the promises they had made in 2018 Assembly elections.
"He should take out a 'kshama yatra' (apology rally). Of all the promises he made in the 2018 Assembly elections to the people of Chhattisgarh, he could not fulfill even one. That is why, people pushed them out in 2023 Assembly elections. He stalled the development of Chhattisgarh for 5 years & betrayed people of the state.."
Earlier in the day, Congress leader Sachin Pilot said that the aim of the Yatra was to wake up the ruling state government, as it has lost its credibility.
Sachin Pilot said, "It has been 9-10 months since this (BJP) government came to power, but looking at the situation in Chhattisgarh, we have to take out Nyay Yatra to wake up the government. Law and order situation has deteriorated. This government has lost its credibility very quickly. The government is not paying attention to the atrocities on women but is trying its best to suppress the voice of the opposition."
He further said that the Congress Nyay Yatra has received a very good response in Chhattisgarh.
"The government is not paying attention to what happened in Baloda Bazar--the increasing Naxalite incidents. Our aim is that through this Nyay Yatra, the government should become alert.
"This government is running from Delhi; there is no one to run the government from Raipur. There are multiple power centres here. The yatra has a very good response," he added.
Congress had started their six-day Nyay Yatra on September 27 in Baloda Bazar. The march aimed to highlight the alleged increasing crime rates in the state and seek justice for the people.
Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also participated in the 'Swachhata Abhiyan on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai said, "It is GandhiJayanti today. I bow before Father of Nation. It is also the birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri, we pay respect to him too. Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated as Swachh Bharat Diwas. From 17th September to 2nd October, 'Swachhta hi Sewa Pakhwara' was being celebrated and today marks the end of it. We also had a membership drive here." (ANI)
