Infiltration bid foiled in North Kashmir

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India] Feb. 1 (ANI): The Army has successfully foiled an infiltration bid by the Pakistani terrorists in Tangdhar Sector in North Kashmir during the early hours of Wednesday.

Infiltration bid foiled in North Kashmir

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India] Feb. 1 (ANI): The Army has successfully foiled an infiltration bid by the Pakistani terrorists in Tangdhar Sector in North Kashmir during the early hours of Wednesday.

"A group of four terrorists attempted to infiltrate under the cover of darkness and thick jungles in the mountainous terrain in general area of Kalban in Tangdhar but were spotted by alert troops", the army said in a statement.

"They were engaged with heavy fire and terrorists were seen running away into the thick jungles towards the Line of Control", the statement further read.

Search operations in the sector are currently in progress.

The army has often foiled repeated attempts of infiltration in North Kashmir. (ANI)
