New Delhi [India], November 5 (ANI): Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday urged India's Gen Z and youth to safeguard the country's democratic process while addressing allegations of large-scale voter fraud in Haryana.
Gandhi highlighted that the youth have the power to restore democracy through truth and non-violence.
He also claimed a plan was set in motion to turn a predicted Congress victory into a loss.
While addressing a press conference 'H files', Rahul Gandhi said, "I want the young people of India, Gen Z, to understand this clearly. Because this is about your future. Your future is being destroyed. So it's important that you listen and you watch. I'm questioning the Election Commission and the democratic process in India. So I'm doing it with 100 per cent proof. We are pretty sure that a plan was put in motion to convert Congress' landslide victory (in Haryana) into a loss"
The concluding slide of the presentation read, "India's Gen Z and youth have the power to restore our democracy with satya and ahimsa (truth and non-violence)."

The Congress leader described the alleged voter fraud in Haryana as a fundamental attack on India's democracy.
He said it undermines the visions of Mahatma Gandhi, BR Ambedkar, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel, and Subhas Chandra Bose, claiming that the country's democratic ideals are being threatened.
"...This is a fundamental attack on the democratic soul of India. This is an attack on Mahatma Gandhi, Ambedkar ji, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel, Subhas Chandra Bose by the RSS...Gandhi ji was murdered, his vision and his idea is being murdered. That's what's going on," he said.
Gandhi said that ensuring the integrity of the voter list is the responsibility of the Election Commission, not political parties.
Responding to questions about why no objections were raised during Bihar's SIR process, he said parties cannot fix flawed voter lists without access to the complete database, which the EC does not provide.
"Voter list integrity is not the responsibility of the political party. It is not my problem if the voter list is wrong. It is the EC who has to guarantee voter list integrity...What the EC does is it tries to put the onus on the parties who solve the problems. We cannot solve the problems. If you want us to solve the problem, give us the entire database and we will solve it...But they don't do it," he said. (ANI)
