Indian Army Medical team evacuates injured soldier from Israel

A team of Indian Army led by a doctor conducted a well-coordinated medical evacuation of an injured Indian Army personnel from United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) Golan Heights by C130 Air Ambulance.

New Delhi [India], September 26 (ANI): A team of Indian Army led by a doctor conducted a well-coordinated medical evacuation of an injured Indian Army personnel from United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) Golan Heights by C130 Air Ambulance.
The Critical Care Air Evacuation Medical Team was led by Lt Col Anuj Singh along with two trained paramedics, from Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt.
The mission involved coordination with the Indian Air Force, MEA, and other agencies. The rescue mission not only ensured that the injured soldier was evacuated to India amidst an extremely uncertain situation but also provided state-of-the-art critical care support en route, the Indian Army said.

Havildar Suresh R (33), an injured soldier, was shifted to CZ (Israel side) to Level 1 Hospital on September 20. He was not oriented to time/place/person and appeared to be deranged. His medical history involved 30 days of admission at Rambam Hospital, Haifa, Israel, with effect from 22 August until 20 September.
His diagnosis involved head injury, unspecified trauma, subarachnoid haemorrhage, diffuse axonal injury, and Hemiparesis left.
Currently, his vitals are stable and is maintaining 98 per cent saturation at room air, GCS 10/15, while his body movements are swifter and smoother.
The air ambulance took off from Tel Aviv with the patient at 01.20 AM (IST) and reached Jamnagar at 10 AM (IST).
He was further airlifted to Palam, New Delhi, and reached today, 26 September 2024, at about 2 pm. He was later transferred to Army Hospital R&R, New Delhi, by 3 pm, through an ambulance.
