Patna (Bihar) [India], April 22 (ANI): The Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) of the Indian Air Force will perform aerobatics in Bihar's Patna on the banks of the river Ganga on April 22 and 23 to mark the Shaurya Diwas.
The air show will start at around 9.30 am on Tuesday at the Ganga Path, located on the banks of the river Ganga in Patna.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will be the chief guest of the show.
Shaurya Diwas is celebrated on April 23 in Bihar to honour the victory of freedom fighter Babu Veer Kunwar Singh over British forces. A key leader of the Indian Rebellion of 1857, Kunwar Singh played a prominent role in the uprising and hailed from the Bhojpur region of Bihar.
BJP MP Rajeev Pratap Rudy said that a team of Akashganga will paraglide in the sky with a huge portrait of Veer Kunwar Singh.
In a video posted on social media handle X, Rudy said, "This time there will be paragliding from the team of Akashganga with a huge portrait of Veer Kunwar Singh. This has never happened on the land of Bihar. We would like to express gratitude to the Bihar government and the people who are celebrating Shaurya Diwas with enthusiasm."

Veer Kunwar Singh was a legendary freedom fighter and one of the prominent leaders of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. Born in 1777 in Jagdispur, in the present-day Bhojpur district of Bihar, he belonged to a royal Rajput family. Kunwar Singh took up arms against the British East India Company and became a symbol of courage and resistance in the region.
Throughout the 1857 rebellion, Kunwar Singh led several successful battles against the British, using guerrilla warfare and strategic planning to outsmart a better-equipped enemy. Today, Veer Kunwar Singh is remembered not just for his military achievements but also for his unwavering commitment to the cause of India's freedom, earning him a lasting place among the nation's greatest patriots.
