Gurugram (Haryana) [India], Mar 19 (ANI): India will never forget the killing of 40 CRPF personnel in the Pulwama attack and the country's leadership is capable of deciding how, where and when to deal with terrorists and their supporters, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval said here on Tuesday, in a tough veiled message to Pakistan.

Gurugram (Haryana) [India], Mar 19 (ANI): India will never forget the killing of 40 CRPF personnel in the Pulwama attack and the country’s leadership is capable of deciding how, where and when to deal with terrorists and their supporters, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval said here on Tuesday, in a tough veiled message to Pakistan.
Speaking at the 80th Raising Day parade of the CRPF, he paid tributes to the 40 personnel of the force who were killed on February 14 when a suicide bomber of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror outfit rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into a convoy of the paramilitary force in Pulwama district of Kashmir.
“I would like to pay my respects to the 40 brave CRPF personnel who made the supreme sacrifice in Pulwama. The nation has not forgotten and will never forget,” Doval said, while addressing the officers and other personnel of the paramilitary force.
Talking about action against terrorism and its supporters, he said, “The country’s leadership is capable and strong enough to decide what to do, in which manner to do, at what time and how.”
The NSA said the leadership is capable and strong enough to face every kind of challenge, be it by the terrorists or those supporting them.
“We have the capability and intention to deal with all kinds of challenges and crises,” he added.
Doval said the loss suffered by the families of the martyred CRPF personnel can't be filled but the entire nation and the force is standing with them.
“If we can do something for them, we will be fortunate,” he said.
The NSA said the country’s future is secure when the morale of the forces is high.
Hailing the exceptional professionalism of the CRPF, he said, "Whenever we have meetings and discuss which force to send (to some place facing trouble), how many battalions to be sent and where, we say send the CRPF, it is a credible force, we can completely trust them. It takes years to achieve such credibility."
He said one can write a book on the role played by the CRPF in the aftermath of partition even with its limited numbers.
“There is something special about you, your diversity...diversity of the areas you operate...All the security challenges that India faced, there was none where CRPF didn't contribute,” he said.
“Internal security has its own importance...37 nations disintegrated after World War-II, 28 of them due to internal security (issues),” he noted. (ANI)
