Shahdol (Madhya Pradesh) [India], January 17 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday attended the seventh Regional Industry Conclave held in Shahdol district and said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India would again become the Golden bird through entrepreneurship.
CM Yadav also remarked that religiously significant regions like Shahdol, Anuppur, and Umaria, which were previously underdeveloped, would now witness comprehensive growth. The seventh Regional Industries Conclave, themed "Land of Infinite Possibilities", was organized in Shahdol to promote balanced development.
Addressing the event, the CM said, "Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India will once again become the 'Golden Bird' through entrepreneurship. As the Modi government came into power in 2014, India's economy faced significant challenges. We were ranked as the 11th largest economy globally and by recognizing our internal strengths and infinite possibilities, we are now progressing rapidly using modern technology. Madhya Pradesh is also witnessing fast-paced development. Our state, a family of 9 crore people, aims to double its GDP in the next five years."
The Chief Minister also emphasized the importance of entrepreneurs in embodying the eternal Indian philosophy of "Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah" (May everyone be happy). Just as a warrior dedicates everything for the nation, an entrepreneur works for the welfare of many families. He stressed that if everyone fulfills their roles diligently, it will benefit all and lead to the nation's progress. Quoting, "Living for oneself is not living; live for the world."
"Madhya Pradesh's industry-friendly policies focused on simplicity and ease of doing business. The state provides a conducive environment for industries, offering cooperation, support, and respect. Special incentives are available for industries in sectors like tourism, IT, and ready-made garments, including assistance up to 200 per cent and Rs 5,000 a worker for ten years," CM Yadav said.
Additionally, he mentioned that every youth in the state would be provided employment according to their skills and abilities. In recent times, six regional industry conclaves have been organized so far, investment proposals over Rs 4 lakh crore received, with job opportunities likely for 3 lakh people.
On February 24, Madhya Pradesh will host the Global Investors Conclave, with departments working on sector-specific policies to be finalized soon. Startups are also being encouraged, with congratulations extended on StartUp Day, he added.
CM Yadav further clarified that development for his government is not just about physical infrastructure but also about the welfare of all social classes. Under the missions initiated by PM Modi for the welfare of the poor, youth, women, and farmers, rapid progress is being made.
During the conclave, the CM engaged in one-to-one discussions with representatives of various industries and industrial groups to promote investment and industrial activities in the state.
According to an official release, around 401 acres of land is allotted to 102 units during the Shahdol Regional Industry Conclave in which capital investment of over Rs 3561 crores and employment to over 9561 people is proposed.
