India to train 50 Department of Revenue Investigation, Nepal officers

 New Delhi [India], Mar 11 (ANI): India initiated a five-day training programme for 50 officers of the Department of Revenue Investigation of Nepal (DRI Nepal), on Monday.

 New Delhi [India], Mar 11 (ANI): India initiated a five-day training programme for 50 officers of the Department of Revenue Investigation of Nepal (DRI Nepal), on Monday.
On the request of the Nepal government, the training on ‘Investigation and Control of Revenue Leakage’ has begun at national academy of customs, indirect taxes and Narcotics (NACIN), Faridabad, India.
Under this initiative, DRI Nepal will train a total of 50 officers in two batches. While the first batch is undergoing training from today, the second batch of 25 officers will be trained at the same venue on March 25, said an official statement.  The training would be fully supported by the Government of India under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme, it added.
This training would strengthen the investigative capabilities of DRI Nepal Officers and enhance DRI Nepal’s contribution to the nation building. It would make officers better equipped, effective in controlling and protecting the revenue leakages from the legitimate economy, the release further noted. 
National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN) is the apex training institution of the Government of India in the field of drug law enforcement and indirect taxation. (ANI)
