New Delhi [India], August 16 (ANI): Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi extended birthday wishes to AAP national convenor and jailed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday and said that the country is with him in the "war against injustice."
"Heartiest birthday wishes to Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal Ji. I hope you stay healthy and happy. India is with you in this war against injustice," posted Rahul Gandhi on X.
Meanwhile, Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, thanked people for sending birthday wishes to the jailed AAP national convenor on Friday and said that she has full faith that the constitution of the country is still intact and that the Supreme Court will protect democracy and deliver justice in the ongoing case soon.
Taking to her social media handle on X, Sunita Kejriwal posted, "People of Delhi are sending greetings on the birthday of their CM, Arvind Kejriwal. Thank you very much to everyone. In this political conspiracy, I have full faith that the Constitution of the country is still intact and SC will protect democracy and deliver justice soon."
Meanwhile, former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also extended birthday wishes to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and said that the "Delhi CM has been fighting the toughest battle against the dictatorship prevailing in the country."
"Wishing the Chief Minister of Delhi, my dearest friend and political guru, Arvind Kejriwal ji, a very happy birthday, who is fighting the toughest battle against the dictatorship prevailing in the country. We are proud to be soldiers of a patriot and revolutionary leader who chose to go to jail rather than kneel before a dictator. Today the country's democracy is imprisoned in the form of Arvind Kejriwal," Sisodia said in a post on X.
AAP Minister Atishi also wished Kejriwal on his birthday and said that the one who shaped the future of lakhs of people by fighting against dictatorship is today in jail in a false case.
"Today is the birthday of the revolutionary of modern India, Arvind Kejriwal, who changed the condition of Delhi with his governance model. He gave new hope to the people of Delhi with his politics of honesty. Arvind Ji, who shaped the future of lakhs of people by fighting against dictatorship, is today in jail in a false case. But truth will prevail, the beloved Chief Minister of Delhiites will come out," she posted on X.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann posted, "Happy birthday to the revolutionary leader who gave a new direction to the country's politics and the supremo of the Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal ji."
AAP MP Raghav Chadha wished Kejriwal on his birthday and thanked him for inspiring a generation to rise above cynicism and believe in the power of change.
"Today, we don't just celebrate a man--we celebrate a phenomenon. @ArvindKejriwal, you've shown that honesty and service can be the nucleus of politics. You're a freedom fighter for modern India, unjustly jailed like those before you. But just as history shows, truth will prevail. They can put you behind bars, but they cannot chain the hope you've sparked in millions, including me. You transformed Indian politics, proving once again that an ordinary man with extraordinary courage can lead a revolution," he said.
"Your legacy is more than political--it's a movement, an unstoppable force for truth and justice. No wall can contain that. Thank you for inspiring a generation to rise above cynicism and believe in the power of change. And thank you for leading the change that has brightened countless lives. The fight continues, and we stand by you stronger than ever. Happy Birthday," the AAP leader posted on X. (ANI)
