New Delhi [India], April 14 (ANI): The spiritual leader and founder of the Art of Living Foundation, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, said that India is "already a Vishwaguru" while addressing the Viksit Bharat Ambassador programme in Delhi on Sunday.
While speaking at the musical and meditation evening on Sunday, the spiritual leader said that India has the power to lead the world.
"India and all its citizens are great. India has the power to lead the world. India is already a Vishwaguru, but that 'Guru' is hidden, we have to get it out in the open. We could not have even imagined the progress we have made in the last decade. But still, we have a lot to do. And it will happen with everyone's participation," Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said, "We have never taken anything from anyone. No one can call me a 'Sarkari Sant'. No one can point a finger at us. We have never taken anything from any government. But I will say openly when there is justice and betterment of the country. Neither do I support any side nor should I... There are 4 pillars in a democracy... How will the roof survive if all the pillars are close to each other? The pillars have to stay at a distance... All four pillars should cooperate with each other, but not support each other... Don't go for freebies... A self-respecting person would never go for freebies."
Earlier this week, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, lauded the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing admiration for his dedication and vision for India's progress while speaking at the Viksit Bharat Ambassador programme held in Mumbai.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar highlighted the positive transformation he witnessed in India over the past decade, emphasizing the revival of pride in the nation's rich cultural heritage and traditions.
Speaking on PM Modi's leadership qualities, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar acknowledged his understanding of the concerns of the people, the country's ethnicity, and its global position. He stated, "India needed such a person who understands the concern of the people, understands the ethnicity of the country and understands the world."
The Viksit Bharat Ambassador event, featuring 'music and meditation,' saw the presence of distinguished individuals such as Union Minister Piyush Goyal, renowned singer Sonu Nigam, BJP leader Hitesh Jain, and several others.
Under the aegis of the Viksit Bharat Ambassador Program, 25+ events have been hosted nationally in various states and cities. (ANI)
