Mainpuri (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 27 (ANI): As bypolls approach for nine assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Shivpal Yadav has asserted that the party's candidate, Tej Pratap Yadav, will secure victory in the Karhal assembly constituency and that the INDIA bloc will win across all contested seats.
"Tej Pratap will emerge victorious with a significant margin... BJP will lose all nine seats, and INDIA bloc candidates will claim victory in each," Shivpal Yadav told ANI.
Samajwadi Party candidate Tej Pratap Yadav is contesting from the Karhal assembly constituency, with the bypoll set for November 13.
On October 25, SP chief and MP Akhilesh Yadav also expressed confidence in Tej Pratap Yadav's win, forecasting a historic result in favour of the Samajwadi Party.
"The people of Karhal will support Tej Pratap ji not only in this election but also in the 2027 elections. There will be a historic outcome for the Samajwadi Party, and BJP will face a historic defeat. The BJP creates mere hype; they did it in the Lok Sabha elections but failed... What can you expect from a government that makes no arrangements?" Yadav stated.
The poll commission has scheduled bypolls on November 13 for nine of the 10 vacant assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, excluding Milkipur in Ayodhya district.
The bypolls will be held in nine seats, including Meerapur, Kundarki, Ghaziabad, Khair, Karhal, Phulpur, and Katehari.
The counting of votes is set for November 23. (ANI)
