"INDIA alliance will thrive across the country," says MDMK leader Durai Vaiko

The voting for all 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu and only constituency in Puducherry will be held in the first phase on April 19.

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], March 25 (ANI): Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) leader Durai Vaiko on Monday said that he is expecting that INDIA bloc will win all 40 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
He also said that INDIA bloc will thrive all across the country.
"With the blessings of our alliance leader and CM MK Stalin and our leader, I have filed my nomination today. About the symbol, we are waiting for the reply of the election commission," said MDMK leader Durai Vaiko after filing his nomination from the Tiruchirappalli constituency.
Ahead of the Lok Sabha Election 2024, the MDMK leader further said, "We are expecting 40 out of 40 seats, including Puducherry, and INDIA alliance will thrive across the country."
The voting for all 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu and only constituency in Puducherry will be held in the first phase on April 19.
During polling for the 2019 general elections, the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance, comprising the Congress, VCK, MDMK, CPI, CPI(M), IUML, MMK, KMDK, TVK, and AIFB, registered a landslide victory, winning 38 of the 39 seats.
The DMK-led alliance secured a landslide victory by bagging 38 out of 39 seats. The Congress, which was also a part of the alliance, bagged 8 seats out of the nine contested.
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on the other hand, won only one seat.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Indian National Congress candidate V. Vaithilingam won the only seat in the Puducherry Parliamentary Constituency.
The elections for 543 Lok Sabha seats across the country will be held in seven phases, starting April 19. The counting of votes will take place on June 4. (ANI)
