New Delhi [India], Nov 16 (ANI): Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday asserted that censorship in media is impossible due to technology advancement in the country.
"Today, you have a scenario where you have highly competitive electronic, print and digital media. You have multiple forums and because of technology, censorship is impossible. Any kind of pressure is impossible," Jaitley said. He was addressing an event organised to celebrate the National Press Day.
Jaitley said that there are challenges faced by the media industry, but it needs to retain its credibility. The minister underlined that the media is free to express its opinions to the viewers.
