In special operation Sultanpur Police arrest man wanted for roberry at jewellery shop

Sultanpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], September 20 (ANI): In an encounter with the Special Task Force (STF) and local police under the Jaisinghpur Police Station, the police arrested a wanted person named Ajay Yadav on Friday. Yadav was declared wanted for his role in the looting of a jewellery shop in the city.
Somen Verma, Superintendent of Police said that the police had received information this morning that Ajay was roaming on his bike and encountered him in which the police was also injured.
"The police had received information that the wanted person was roaming on his motorcycle. The police immediately planned an encounter after receiving the information. One police personnel sustained injuries during the encounter. A cash reward of Rs 1 lakh was earlier set by the police for anyone who would find the wanted," the SP said.
Ajay Yadav aka DM was wanted by the police in the sensational robbery incident that took place in broad daylight at Bharat Jewellers in Sultanpur. During the operation the Sultanpur police were forced to open fire on the accused, shooting him in the leg.
"The accused has been wanted in the sensational robbery that was committed by Ajay and other people at Bharat Jewellers. We have so far caught nine people in the robbery case. Four more people have still not been caught. All gold jewellery and 25 kg of silver jewellery robbed in the incident has been recovered by the police. Ajay has been sent to the nearest hospital after he suffered from injuries.
The police said that crores of silver jewellery, money, illegal arms and cartridges were looted in the robbery by Ajay. (ANI)
