"In form of Sunetra Pawar we can see Ajit Dada": NCP (SP) leader Rohit Pawar congratulates Maha new DyCM

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 31 (ANI): Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchand Pawar) MLA Rohit Pawar on Saturday congratulated on taking oath as the first woman Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
In a post on X, Rohit Pawar said, "I am delighted that Hon. Sunetrabai has taken the oath as the state's first female Deputy Chief Minister. Truth be told, no one can truly take Hon. Ajitdada's place, but at least in the form of Sunetrabai, we can see Ajitdada there somehow!"
"With a mountain of grief weighing on our heads and all of us immersed in mourning, we don't even know how to offer them congratulations!" he added.


Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also congratulated Sunetra Pawar, expressing confidence that she will take Maharashtra's development journey to new heights.
"Sunetra Pawar, hearty congratulations and best wishes on taking the oath as Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Certainly, under the guidance of the esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the able leadership of the honourable Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, you will take Maharashtra's development journey to new heights," Dhami said.


Sunetra Pawar, who was chosen as the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party today after the tragic demise of her husband Ajit Pawar, took oath as the state's Deputy CM at Lok Bhavan in Mumbai amid chants of 'Ajit dada amar rahe'.
Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath of office to Sunetra Pawar in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CM Eknath Shinde.
She stepped into fill the post that became vacant following the tragic demise of NCP chief Ajit Pawar in a plane crash on January 28 in Baramati. With this, Sunetra Pawar becomes the first woman Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
Chandrashekhar Bawankule, State President of NCP, Sunil Tatkare and NCP Working President Praful Patel, and Maharashtra Minister Chhagan Bhujbal were also present at the swearing-in ceremony.
Sunetra Pawar is known for her work in sustainable development, environmental conservation, and rural empowerment. As a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, she has emerged as a driving force behind several initiatives that promote inclusive and sustainable progress.
Ajit Pawar passed away on Wednesday when a chartered plane carrying him crashed-landed in Baramati. Among the deceased were his personal security officer, a flight attendant, and two pilots. (ANI)
