Zurich [Switzerland], January 20 (ANI): "I am fortunate enough to have been born in the Telugu community which is ever inspiring and if there is any rebirth I will be too happy to take birth as a child of Telugu. Wherever I am my heart always yearns for the Telugu community," observed the Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, here on Monday.
Chandrababu Naidu who is on a visit to Davos to take part in the World Economic Forum summit actively participated in the Meet-and-Greet programme organised by the Telugu diaspora at Zurich. Maintaining that he always encouraged the youth to join politics Chandrababu felt that the development of any nation is possible only with the youth.
"You all have gathered here from 12 different countries in Europe. In the past when I arrived at the airport here no Telugu person was available as no person from the Telugu community was found in Europe. Our people are very clever and wherever there are opportunities they move to that place," Chandrababu said and stated that all the Indians get very good opportunities and Teliugus will be in top position.
Expressing concern that the entire Europe is now reeling under age issues, the Chief Minister said that the Telugus are getting much better opportunities across the globe. Telugus have their own imprint in all the countries, Chandrababu said and stated that he never expected that Telugu would spread to so many countries. "I have witnessed the way you fought when I was sent to jail. I was really surprised to know that Telugu are in so many countries and you all have actively participated in agitation for me for 53 days," Chandrababu recalled.
If a person who is not eligible for politics assumes power all the people have witnessed what was the result, he remarked. Pointing out that the TDP, the BJP and the Jana Sena have fought together to save the State and all the Telugus living in various countries have travelled all the way to take part in the election for the victory of the Alliance. "I will never forget this in my life," the Chief Minister remarked.
"People always thought that Andhra Pradesh meant only farming and in 1991 economic reforms were introduced while in 1993 the internet revolution was launched while in 1995 I became the Chief Minister. I have given the highest priority to Information Technology (IT) by introducing certain reforms and I spoke about technology when everyone was not very aware of it. Then I said that if the children are given good education they will earn crores. As Hyderabad has been developed the per capita income of Telangana is the highest in the country now. All this because of the foundation that I have laid," Chandrababu said.
Recalling that he always feels that the Telugus should grow to the stage of providing employment and should not remain as employees, the Chief Minister said that he can now proudly say that he has laid the foundation for transforming the youth into entrepreneurs. Chandrababu is of the firm opinion that financial constraints should not stand in the way of the growth of anyone in any sector and feels that if a politician earns money he or she commands no respect.
"As I am into politics my wife looks after business while the Minister for IT and Electronics, Nara Lokesh, is into politics his wife, Brahmani, takes care of the business activities. My intention is that the Telugu community should be in number one position by 2047," the Chief Minister observed.
Recalling how he met Bill Gates and how the Microsoft unit was set up in Hyderabad, Chandrababu called upon everyone to adopt AI. Announcing that Andhra Pradesh will soon transform into a green hydrogen hub, the Chief Minister wanted everyone who attended the meeting to become partners in the development of the State.
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is yearning to do something for the nation while the Andhra Pradesh Government is moving ahead with Swarnandhra Vision-2047. "I will accept all your suggestions and I will never forget in my life the kind of affection that you all are showering on me," the Chief Minister maintained. (ANI)
