IITF, a platform for all kinds of businesses: Tourism Minister

New Delhi [India], Nov 14 (ANI): Union Tourism and Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma, while inaugurating 38th edition of India International Trade Fair (IITF) here at Pragati Maidan on Wednesday, said that the IIFT would provide an opportunity to all kinds of businesses to showcase their excellence. This year's fair is themed around 'Rural Enterprises in India.'

New Delhi [India], Nov 14 (ANI): Union Tourism and Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma, while inaugurating 38th edition of India International Trade Fair (IITF) here at Pragati Maidan on Wednesday, said that the IIFT would provide an opportunity to all kinds of businesses to showcase their excellence. This year's fair is themed around 'Rural Enterprises in India.'
"It is our Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to create things, which meet international standards or are even better. And what I have been told about this place is that after completion in next one year or so, IITF will be the talk of the town with world-class facilities."
Commerce Minister Suresh Prabhu, through a video message, also praised the efforts of the Central government for creating conducive business atmosphere in the country. He said that thanks to fast decision-making process and trade policy of the Centre, India has witnessed unprecedented growth in business.
For this year, Afghanistan is the partner country, while Nepal is the focus country for the fair. Jharkhand is participating as a partner state in the event.
Tourism Minister Sharma also congratulated the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) officials for refurbishing the IITF venue. "At present, constructions are going on at around 72 places and still they have been able to organize the 38th IITF at a grand scale."
The 14-day annual event will conclude on November 27. (ANI)
