Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], July 15 (ANI): The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) on Sunday hosted Lakshya 2K24, which saw the presence of defence and industry leaders. The event aimed to boost collaboration between defence officers and industry leaders.
Taking to the X, IIMB posted about the event and said, "Bridging boundaries between defence establishments and industry representatives, IIMB hosted Lakshya2K24 on 14 July 2024. Over 50 defence and industry leaders unite for the Business Management Program, themed Diversity and Future of Work."
The event aimed to enhance collaboration between defence officers and industry leaders, focusing on themes of diversity and the future of work. On the sidelines of the event, the industry leaders said most companies are looking for experienced veterans, a release by the institute said.
The other key highlights included exploring the latest trends and future directions in Global Capability Centers (GCC) as well as roles for veterans in managing GCC functions.
With a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, the event also highlighted strategies and best practices for fostering an inclusive workplace and building a culture of innovation by leveraging new technologies.
The event also provided insights into India's evolving startup culture by exploring India's vibrant and dynamic startup ecosystem and transformative technologies that deep dive into design thinking, data analytics, and artificial intelligence and their profound impact on businesses.
During the event at IIMB on Sunday, various leaders from GCCs delved into 'The Talent War: Strategies for Winning Top Performers' and emphasised the potential for defence officers to transition into the corporate sector. The discussion highlighted the demand for individuals who are adaptable, flexible, disciplined, and adept at problem-solving qualities inherent in defence personnel, according to the release.
It further added, "The knowledge shared and connections made during Lakshya 2K24 will undoubtedly benefit both industries and corporates as they navigate the future landscape. We are confident that the event has set the stage for future collaborations and advancements in leadership and innovation." (ANI)
