I left Tamil Nadu, but Tamil Nadu never leaves me: Pawan Kalyan at One Nation, One Election seminar in Chennai

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], May 26 (ANI): While addressing the One Nation, One Election Seminar in Chennai, Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan emphasised that he has left Tamil Nadu, but the state never leaves him.
Kalyan asserted that Tamil Nadu is a land of Thiruvalluvar, Sidhars, Lord Murugan, MGR and Jalikattu. He further lashed out at the opposition by stating that in the nation fake narrative is being spread about EVM (Electronic Voting Machine).
The latter said that when the opposition wins the election, the EVM becomes "super" and when they lose, it is being "tampered".
"Some may have known I grew up in Tamil Nadu and left it; I may have left it, but Tamil Nadu never left me. Its impact and impression on me are very deep. Tamil Nadu is the land of Thiruvalluvar, Sidhars, and Lord Murugan, Mahakavi Subramania Bharathiyar, the land of thousands of Temples. It's the land where MGR lived, the land of Jallikattu. The experience of TN has been guiding me. Today's seminar is about One Nation, One Election. In this One Nation, One Election, many false and fake news have been spread, as in election time, if they win, EVM is super, but if they lose, they say EVM is tampered with", Pawan Kalyan said.
"They do a double act, saying that if one nation, one election is brought, it's wrong and worse. If they do it, then it's right and if we do it wrong. One Nation, One Election is not new to India. Nation's first election was one nation, one election for two decades", he added.
Hitting out at the incumbent Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam state government, Pawan Kalyan said that former Tamil Nadu CM M Karunanidhi supported One Nation, One Election. He added that Karunanidhi supported ONOE, but sadly, DMK is currently opposing it.
The Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM further urged the Union Government to form a committee on ONOE and felt it strange that Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin opposes M Karunanidhi's proposal.
"It was insisted by Karunanidhi, who wanted one nation, one election. Today, the sad part is that they are opposing it. In the most difficult early decades, our nation did a remarkable job synchronising elections for two decades. Those who oppose it today should read what Karunanidhi wrote on supporting One Nation One Election in Nenjiku Needhi. He urged the centre to form a committee to research the One Nation, One Election. It's strange now that Karunanidhi's proposal is opposed by Stalin", Pawan Kalyan said. (ANI)
