I care for farmers, not chair: PM Modi

Banaskantha (Gujarat) [India], Dec 8 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday asserted that he does not care for "the chair" and only wants to work for the farmers.

Addressing a rally here, the Prime Minister said, "When I had taken over as the Chief Minister (of Gujarat), farmers from Patan and Banaskantha met me and I told them to focus on irrigation. People told me this approach will ensure you are defeated. I said - I do not care for the chair, I want to work for the farmers and want to work for Banaskantha, and Patan."

The Prime Minister also said that Gujarat knows the difference between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress Party.
