Hyderabad: Man sustains burn injury after his mobile phone explodes

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Mar 26 (ANI): A 28-year-old man sustained burn injuries after his brand new mobile phone exploded while he was riding his scooter, police said on Tuesday.

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Mar 26 (ANI): A 28-year-old man sustained burn injuries after his brand new mobile phone exploded while he was riding his scooter, police said on Tuesday. 
"Today one person by name Md Imran was travelling on his scooter in Bollaram area when his recently-purchased Oppo cell phone exploded in his pocket," Ramesh Reddy, Circle Inspector, Bollaram Police Station, told ANI over the phone.
"Due to this (blast), Imran received burn injury in his leg and fell down from the scooter and received head and eye injuries," the police inspector said.
The man was later shifted to a hospital.
"Victim's condition is declared out of danger. We have suggested the victim should complain in the consumer court against the local dealer of the mobile phone. It has come to notice that that the phone exploded due to heat," the police official said. (ANI)
