Hit-and-run case: "Gang of goons is running Maharashtra govt," Shiv Sena (UBT) Sanjay Raut

Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 7 (ANI): Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Sunday said that a "gang of goons" is running the Maharashtra government.
He even asserted that if there was law and order in the state, Mihir Shah would be arrested.
"A gang of goons is running the Maharashtra government...If there is law and order in the state, they should arrest Mihir Shah," Sanjay Raut told ANI.
After a BMW car hit a bike and killed a woman who was travelling with her husband in the Worli area of Mumbai on Sunday, the Worli police said that they had confiscated the car from the Bandra region.
"Worli police recovered and confiscated the car from the Bandra area of Mumbai. The police have detained Rajendra Singh Bidawat who was present inside the car and the father of the person, Rajesh Shah and are questioning them. No arrest has been made in this case yet," the police said.
The deceased woman has been identified as Kaveri Nakhwa (45), a resident of Worli Koliwada. Meanwhile, the deceased's husband sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
"A BMW car ran over two people riding a bike. The woman died in this incident and the other person was injured. This incident took place at 5:30 am this morning when the couple riding on a bike were passing in front of Atria Mall in Worli", a statement from the Mumbai Police had said.
The police emphasized that the luxury car belonged to the leader of a political party based in Maharashtra's Palghar
"The luxury car belongs to a leader of a political party based in Palghar and his son was sitting in the car with the driver", said the police.
In the Mumbai Hit and Run case- the police have registered a case under Sections 105, 281, 125 (B), 238, 324 (4) of the BNS along with Sections 184, 134 (A), 134 (B), 187 of the Motor Vehicles Act. (ANI)
