Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], August 13 (ANI): In a vibrant display of patriotism and cultural heritage, Shimla hosted a Tiranga Yatra at the Ridge Maidan, featuring traditional folk dances and performances.

"Artists play a vital role in society, serving as a powerful medium to spread this message. We want every household to unfurl the Tricolour on Independence Day," said Anil Harta, the organizer and District Language Officer of Shimla.
One of the participating artists, Roshni Justa, emphasized the importance of the Tiranga Yatra.
"It is important to hold this Tiranga Yatra. We are happy to remember those bravehearts who have given us independence. Adding further she stated, "Youth should stay away from drugs and respect those who are serving in the Army and working for the nation; they should be encouraged."
Another artist, Nidhi Walia, highlighted the significance of serving the nation and respecting the tricolour.
"It is important to serve the nation. I would say we should respect our tricolour, the Indian national flag. We should give respect to all. Respecting the national flag is important," said Walia.
