Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], November 14 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (HPSDMA) successfully conducted Q6 System Drone Pilot Training for five officials from HPSDMA and Aryabhatta Geo-informatics & Space Application Centre (AGiSAC), a release said on Wednesday.
As per the release, the training included hands-on sessions with the Q6 System Drone, featuring advanced capabilities such as megaphone alerts, an emergency kit deployment mechanism, daylight and thermal imaging systems, as well as mapping and geotagging functionalities.
The Remote Piloted Aircraft (RPA) training covered comprehensive modules designed to enhance theoretical and practical skills.
The program began with equipment familiarization, introducing RPA components, payload specifications, and performance characteristics. Participants learned unpacking, assembling, and pre-flight check procedures, followed by a demo flight and Computer-Based Training (CBT).
Flight operations included mission planning, waypoint navigation, and landing techniques, using BFT software for precise planning. Battery maintenance focused on charging procedures, maintenance, and logbook updates.
Safety and maintenance sessions emphasized operating procedures, troubleshooting in-flight emergencies, and system upkeep. The training concluded with evaluations, including a theoretical test (100 marks) and practical flying sessions. (ANI)
