The evacuation was conducted under challenging conditions, involving a 24-kilometre journey, 14 kilometres of which were covered on foot due to damaged roads and inaccessible terrain.

Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu visited the disaster-affected villages of Baga, Syanj, and Panglyur in the Nachan Assembly Constituency of Mandi district on Thursday to assess the damage caused by the recent natural calamity.
