Himachal Pradesh: Union Minister Anurag Thakur offers prayers at Jwala Ji temple on 'Vijaya Dashmi'

Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Tuesday offered prayers to 'Maa Jwala Devi' at the Jwala Ji temple in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra on 'Vijaya Dashmi' and also, on the ocassion of his birthday.

Kangra (Himachal Pradesh) [India], October 24 (ANI): Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Tuesday offered prayers to 'Maa Jwala Devi' at the Jwala Ji temple in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra on 'Vijaya Dashmi' and also, on the occasion of his birthday.
"...I extend greetings to the countrymen on Vijayadashmi. At Maa Jwala Ji Temple, I would like to pray that our country keeps going forward, Himachal Pradesh also keeps progressing and that the blessings of Maa Jwala be with all of us...Greetings to everyone on Dussehra", Thakur said while speaking to reporters in Kangra.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to 'X' and extended greetings to the union minister.
"Best wishes to Union Minister Shri Anurag Thakur Ji on his birthday. He is energetically working to further enhance India's strides in sports and integrating our Yuva Shakti to various nation building efforts. May he be blessed with a long and healthy life. @ianuragthakur", PM Modi wrote in a post on 'X'.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also greeted Anurag Thakur on his birthday.
"Birthday greetings to my cabinet colleague, Shri @ianuragthakur Ji. Your efforts to serve the nation under the leadership of Modi Ji have been appreciated. May God bless you with good health to continue to serve the people", Shah wrote in an 'X' post.
On Saturday, the Union Minister arrived in Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur as the chief guest at the district-level Youth Festival, 2023.
The event was organised at the Multipurpose Cultural Building in Bilaspur on Saturday.
On the occasion of 'Maha Ashtami', Thakur on Sunday offered prayers at the Baglamukhi Dham in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra district.
Meanwhile, the nation is celebrating the 'Vijaya Dashmi' or 'Dussehra', which marks the culmination of the nine-day-long Navratri festival.
It also symbolises the triumph of good over evil. (ANI)
