Himachal Pradesh: Rash driving in Theog district kills two, injures 2 others

A case of rash driving has been reported in Himachal Pradesh's Theog district in which two persons have been killed while other two are injured.

Theog (Himachal Pradesh) [India], April 28 (ANI): A case of rash driving has been reported in Himachal Pradesh's Theog district in which two persons have been killed while two others are injured.
According to the information received from the Himachal Pradesh police, a case has been registered under sections 279, 337 of the IPC on the statement of 20-year-old Rahul, a resident of village Paniyali in Dharampur in Theog district.
The accident led to the death of 25-year-old Ankush, and 23-year-old Abhishek while 24-year-old Lalit and 25-year-old Daleep are injured, police said.
Rahul said that on the evening of April 27, he came to Theog with Kamlesh in his car and Lalit, Ankush, Abhishek and Daleep came in another Maruti car.
After filling fuel in the car, Lalit, Ankush, Daleep and Abhishek went ahead and Rahul and Kamlesh followed them. At around 10:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Rahul and Kamlesh reached Dharampur and called Ankush but he did not answer. Upon not receiving the call, Rahul and Kamlesh started searching for them, police said.
Later, Rahul and Kamlesh found their car lying in a damaged condition about 150 metres down the road. Lalit and Daleep were trapped in the backseat of the car and villagers were gathered there and helped Lalit and Dalip to come outside of the car, police said.
After that, they brought Lalit and Daleep to Theog Civil Hospital for treatment. However, Ankush and Abhishek were found dead on the spot. The car was driven by Ankush, a resident of village Shoshni in Theog, Himachal Pradesh.
According to the information by the police, the accident happened due to fast and rash driving by Ankush Sharma. A case has been registered and post-mortems will be conducted today. (ANI)
