Himachal Pradesh: CM Sukhu, Congress leaders pay tribute to former CM Virbhadra Singh on his death anniversary

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and the Congress party workers on Monday paid tribute to former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on his third death anniversary at Congress headquarters Rajiv Bhawan in Shimla.

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], July 8 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Congress party workers on Monday paid tribute to former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on his third death anniversary at Congress headquarters Rajiv Bhawan in Shimla.
Today is the third death anniversary of the late Virbhadra Singh, who was six-time Chief Minister of the state.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu paid tribute to the former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and said he is also following in his footsteps of developing Himachal Pradesh.
Taking it to a social media post on X, he wrote, "Tributes to the creator of modern Himachal, former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh ji on his death anniversary. Following his footsteps, we are determined to take Devbhoomi to the pinnacle of progress. Shraddha Suman."


Congress MLA Nandlal, General Secretary Yashwant Chhajta, and other Congress workers paid tribute to him by offering flowers in his picture and remembering the development work done by him.
Congress MLA and Finance Department Chairman Nand Lal said that it is the day to remember his contribution.
"Today is Virbhadra Singh's death anniversary and congressmen are remembering him. Virbhadra Singh served the state for 65 years. . He established new dimensions of development and developed every corner of the state. He said that Virbhadra Singh did unprecedented work in the field of health. Along with building medical colleges, he strengthened health services in rural areas. The public had a lot of affection towards him, as a result of which he became the Chief Minister six times and people still remember him. The public can never forget the development work done by him and he will always be remembered," said Nand Lal, Congress leader and CPS.
Virbhadra Singh Served as a six-time Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and Union Minister with a political career of over 5 decades. He died on July 8, 2021. (ANI)
