Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], August 6 (ANI): The hill resort Shimla, is currently experiencing heavy rainfall, amid an orange rain warning from the Indian Meteorological Department during the next two days.
The incessant downpour has been affecting daily life, making it challenging for the residents and visitors alike. The cloud burst and flash floods that occurred on August 1 have affected the districts of Kullu, Mandi and Shimla.
Roop Lal, a resident said that people are struggling amidst the harsh weather. "It's been raining continuously. We are facing many problems, for crops it's been raining unusually and in some parts, for crops more rain is needed and it's becoming tough to manage in such conditions," he said, reflecting the difficulties faced by many people in the area.
Despite the challenges, some locals are embracing the weather with a positive attitude. Ashutosh, a local student said that it's becoming tough for the students to commute in the rain.
Another resident Vikey elaborated on the situation and expressed his delight, saying, "I am feeling good to be in the rain, I am feeling good to be here, I am enjoying it." His enthusiasm highlights the resilience and adaptability of the youth in Shimla.
As the rain continues to lash Shimla and other parts of Himachal Pradesh, the authorities have urged residents and tourists to take necessary precautions and stay updated on weather advisories. (ANI)
