Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], July 25 (ANI): A delegation of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services (HPAS) Officers led by its President, Shravan Manta, called on Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here on Thursday.

The Chief Minister said that the state government was doing reforms in various government sectors to provide quality services to the people of the state, and HPAS officers could play a very instrumental role in these initiatives.
CM Sukhu said that the education and health sectors were the main focus areas of the state government, and there was a lot of scope to revamp the system in the interest of the common man.
He asked HPAS officers to work diligently and dedicatedly to meet the expectations of the people of the state.
HPAS Association assured full cooperation to the Chief Minister for the implementation of policies and programmes of the State Government in a letter and spirit.
Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan, Secretary to Chief Minister Rakesh Kanwar and officer bearers of the association were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu said that efforts were on to connect all district headquarters to promote tourism.
"To promote tourism in Himachal Pradesh, we have started efforts to connect all the district headquarters with heliports. Our government is working to make Himachal Pradesh the most beautiful state in the country from a tourism point of view," he said.
"Bir Billing site is considered the best site in the entire world for paragliding. From November 2 to 9, when paragliders from 40 to 45 countries will land there, it will boost tourism," he added.
Earlier on Wednesday the Chief Minister questioned the Union Budget and alleged that Himachal had not got anything from the budget despite having suffered the onslaught of floods.
"Himachal Pradesh has not received anything in the Union Budget. The Central government has treated the people of Himachal step-motherly. After the disaster, Himachal should have received Rs 9 thousand crores under PDNA but it has not received that either," he said. (ANI)
