Himachal Pradesh: 21 arrested for parading old woman upon suspicion of witchcraft

Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) [India], Nov 11 (ANI): Twenty-one people have been arrested for allegedly beating and parading an old woman upon suspicion of witchcraft here in Sarkaghat.

Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) [India], Nov 11 (ANI): Twenty-one people have been arrested for allegedly beating and parading an old woman upon suspicion of witchcraft here in Sarkaghat.
According to police, the incident is of November 6 but it came to their notice after the video of the same went viral on social media on November 9.
"Thereafter, police contacted the complainant and took the statement. An FIR was lodged and subsequently, 21 people including 14 men and 7 women were arrested," said Gurdev Chand Sharma, SP, Mandi.
Further, an investigation is underway.
"Investigation is going on and strict action will be taken against those found involved," he said. (ANI)
