Himachal CM pays obeisance at Tara Devi temple on Shardiya Navratri

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, along with his wife Kamlesh Thakur today paid obeisance at Tara Devi temple in Shimla on the occasion of Shardiya Navratri and announced Rs 50 lakh for widening and improving the Tara Devi road.

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], October 15 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, along with his wife Kamlesh Thakur today paid obeisance at Tara Devi temple in Shimla on the occasion of Shardiya Navratri and announced Rs 50 lakh for widening and improving the Tara Devi road.
He also visited the temple complex and gave necessary directions for its further improvement. The Chief Minister prayed for the well-being and prosperity of the state and its people and said that more basic amenities and infrastructure would be developed here to facilitate the pilgrims at large.
Principal Advisor (Media) Naresh Chauhan, Political Advisor Suneel Sharma, Advocate General Anoop Rattan, OSD Ritesh Kapret, Chairman HP Cooperative Bank, Devender Shyam, Former MLA Harbhajan Singh Bhajji, Advisor Infrastructure, Anil Kapil and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion amongst others.
Earlier CM Sukhu on Sunday extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of 'Shardiya Navratri'. In a message to the people of the state, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said "May this holy festival bring happiness, prosperity and new enthusiasm in everyone's life and may the Goddess give strength to the people of the state to overcome the aftermath of the catastrophe that hit the state during the monsoons."
"It is only with the blessings of the Goddess that we get the strength and ability to move ahead in life crossing every hurdle. Navratri has long been revered as holy festival in the Indian tradition and he wished well being and happiness to the people of the state," added CM Sukhu. (ANI)
