"Hemant Soren's people are behind it": BJP MP Deepak Prakash blasts JMM govt

BJP MP Deepak Prakash condemned the Giridih violence and said that the state government is oppressing the Hindy community.

Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], March 15 (ANI): Several vehicles in Jharkhand's Giridih were torched after clashes broke out between two communities on the occasion of Holi late on Friday, as per the officials.
BJP MP Deepak Prakash condemned the Giridih violence and said that the state government is oppressing the Hindu community. He alleged that every time Hindu festivals are celebrated, Hemant Soren people are behind it. Further, Prakash said that due to the same, the FIRs against BJP leaders are registered just for the sake of appeasement politics.
"It is an unfortunate incident and we condemn it. Hemant Soren government is oppressing the Hindu community... Every time Hindu festivals are attacked, Hemant Soren's people are behind it. Then they register FIR against BJP workers and do the politics of appeasement... I want to warn the government to stop this. Otherwise, BJP workers will not delay in struggling against the state government...", Deepak Prakash said to ANI on Saturday.
After the communal clash in Giridih, the administration came into action and have assured that the situation in the region is now under control. The authorities stated that the police is investigating the case.
The incident occurred when a Holi procession was passing through a particular street near the Ghodthambha Chowk. An altercation occurred between two communities, which led to chaos, which lasted for around an hour.
Upon receiving information about the disturbances, officials from the district headquarters arrived at the location, which helped in dispersing the miscreants.
On Friday, Dr Bimal, SP on the situation, said no major injuries were reported in the incident, but efforts are underway to identify the accused and strong action will be taken against them.
"An incident of clash between two communities has come to light in Ghorthamba OP constituency during Holi celebrations. We are in the process of identifying the people involved. Strict action will be taken against them. The situation is currently under control, and no major injuries have been reported...some vehicles were also set on fire," the official said. (ANI)
