Heavy rains lash Mumbai, adjoining areas

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 08 (ANI): Heavy rains across Mumbai city and adjoining areas continue to affect normal life in several parts.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday said, "Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall likely to occur in Mumbai, Raigad, Thane and Palghar today."
Water-logging has been reported at several places including the Sion police station leading to adverse traffic condition.
The BEST buses in Mumbai have either diverted or curtailed their services due to water logging in some areas.
Moreover, according to IMD, suburbs of the city are expected to witness more rainfall in comparison to the city. (ANI)
