Heads of foreign missions in India to visit Golden Temple on October 22

New Delhi [India], Oct 19 (ANI): The heads of foreign missions in India are slated to visit the Golden Temple in Amritsar on October 22 to take part in celebrations to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.

New Delhi [India], Oct 19 (ANI): The heads of foreign missions in India are slated to visit the Golden Temple in Amritsar on October 22 to take part in celebrations to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.
"Following the decision by the Union Cabinet to celebrate the occasion in a grand manner throughout the country and across the globe, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) has invited the heads of foreign missions in New Delhi to visit the Golden Temple," an official statement said.
Over 90 resident heads of missions in New Delhi are expected to travel to Amritsar.
"The visit is being organised by the ICCR in collaboration with the state government of Punjab and the Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee," the statement said.
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and ICCR president Vinay Sahasrabuddhe will accompany the heads of missions. (ANI)
