Hasty roll out of GST caused unemployment: Rahul

Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) [India], October 7 (ANI): Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said people across the nation lost their jobs due to hasty roll out of the Goods and Services Tax Bill (GST).

"The Centre hurried the implementation of GST, which has resulted in job losses. In Gujarat, 30 lakh young men and women have lost their jobs due to GST roll out," Rahul said while addressing a 'Vikas se Vijay Ki Aur' rally here.

In an endeavour to woo the electorates of Himachal Pradesh which will go for polls later this year, Rahul said the Congress governed Himachal Pradesh is way ahead from BJP ruled Gujarat in job creation.

"Himachal Pradesh is way ahead from Gujarat in job creation. The main problem India is facing today is unemployment," Gandhi said.

"The BJP government has completed three-and-a-half years and has only one-and-a-half years left. The prime minister should work now for employment generation and for farmers," he added.(ANI)
