Worli (Maharashtra) [India], November 7 (ANI): Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's candidate from Worli Assembly Constituency, Sandeep Deshpande, who is up against Aaditya Thackeray, said that MNS has been preparing in Worli for the last two years.
Deshpande assured that he's receiving a good response from the public.
Speaking with ANI, the Raj Thackeray-led party's MLA said, "We have been preparing in Worli for the last two years and we are getting a very good response. The work that was to be done here in the last 5 years was not done. People had no one to listen to their problems. People are curious to see what Raj Thackeray has to say to the public."
He said that Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance announced candidates just 10 days ago, and reiterated about his preparations for the Assembly election.
"They (MVA) announced the names of the candidates just 10 days ago and we have been preparing for the last 2 years. People have MNS and Raj Thackeray in their minds," Deshpande said.
The sitting MLA, Aaditya Thackeray will face a tough fight from Shiv Sena's Milind Deora and MNS's Sandeep Deshpande for the Worli Assemby seat.
The Maharashtra Assembly elections are scheduled for November 20, with counting for all 288 constituencies set for November 23.
Opposition MVA, comprising of Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Nationalist Congress Party (SCP), is looking to reclaim power in the state against the Mahayuti alliance, which consists of three parties--Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Ajit Pawar-led NCP. (ANI)
