Ambala (Haryana) [India], October 15 (ANI): Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij on Sunday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a visionary whose welfare schemes reach the common man.
Vij said, "PM Modi is a visionary and the previous governments never did anything for other states. They did everything for Delhi only. PM Modi wants to connect every scheme with the common man. Regarding his schemes, whether it is Ayushman Bharat scheme or Jan Dhan scheme, his aim is that all his welfare measures reach the common people."
Vij further said that under his vision he has started the Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik (UDAN) scheme which means "Let the common citizens of the country fly".
He further said, "Under this scheme, a person wearing slippers will be able to afford flight tickets and the government provides a subsidy for the tickets in this scheme."
He was speaking in Ambala where Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar laid the foundation stone of a domestic airport. (ANI)
