Haryana: Fire breaks out at shopping mart in Gurugram

A fire broke out at the old Transport Authority building in Sheikh Sarai Phase 2 area of Delhi on Wednesday night, gutting important documents stored in the record room, officials said.

The message threatening a bomb attack on the court was received in the Mandya district judge's mail. Police, bomb squad and fire brigade personnel reached the court immediately after receiving the information and are inspecting the matter.

In a video released by the Chief Minister's PRO, Sangma said he was at the NPP office in Tura and acknowledged the previous day's unrest, during which several locations, including the party office, were vandalised, attacked and set on fire by unidentified individuals. He said the incident was unfortunate and emphasised that there was no justification for targeting the party office.

Former IPS officer RN Ravi takes oath as the Governor of West Bengal at a ceremony in Lok Bhawan on Thursday in Kolkata. He was administered the oath by Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court, Sujoy Paul, in the presence of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee, Senior Minister and Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim and Left Front chairman Biman Bose. The incident occurred at Capital Power System Limited, a company engaged in the manufacture of electricity meters, under the jurisdiction of the Phase 2 police station. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, officials said.
