Haryana: Deputy Commissioner bans sale, use of firecrackers, except green firecrackers in Gurugram

The District Administration of Haryana's Gurugram issued an order on the ban of manufacture, sale, and use of all types of firecrackers except green firecrackers from November 1, 2023, to January 31, 2024.

Gurugram (Haryana) [India], September 28 (ANI): The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Haryana's Gurugram, Nishant Kumar Yadav, issued an order on the ban of manufacture, sale, and use of all types of firecrackers except green firecrackers from November 1, 2023, to January 31, 2024.
Instructions in the order regarding the use of green crackers on special occasions mentioned that such fireworks will only be allowed on the day of Diwali or any other festival like Gurupurva and the timing will be between 8 pm to 10 pm. 
Whereas, on Christmas and New Year's Eve, the green firecrackers can start around midnight from 11:55 pm to 12:30 am. 
Additionally, e-commerce companies like Flipkart, Amazon etc. have also been ordered not to accept any online orders for firecrackers.
The order issued by DC Yadav has also directed the Regional Officer of Haryana State Pollution Control Board, Gurugram to regularly monitor the air quality and upload the data on the respective websites as per the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court and Central Pollution Control Board. 
All the senior police officials of Gurugram, including the Fire officers have been directed to ensure compliance with this order in the district.
The order further instructed all the officers to conduct raids in the district to implement the order and submit the report to the DC Yadav's office on a daily basis.
In case of non-compliance and violation of this order, punitive action will be taken as per relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, Explosives Act 1884 and Explosives Rules, said the order by DC Yadav. (ANI)
